Waterfowl- SandHills Wetlands Packages

Our ranch, in the Sandhills, is blessed with hundreds of acres of wetlands. Ash Creek Outfitters is home to ducks, geese, swans and other various shore birds year round. We are a continuous hatching and brood rearing ground year after year and it is critical that we don't graze our meadows until hatching season is over. This assures that we continually have resident populations of ducks and geese that replenish themselves annually if managed correctly. We are located directly in the middle of the central flyway and welcome traveling flocks of ducks and geese throughout the fall and winter months.

Success rates on geese vary depending on the weather, but you will never be short of action with all of the ducks to take aim at. All hunting is done from ground blinds made from cover natural to the area, artificial hay bale blinds, and coffin blinds overlooking decoys and feeding grounds. The water table, unique to the sandhill's region, is only 2-5 feet below the ground surface so pit blinds cannot be used. You will not be restricted to the same blinds or wetlands day after day.
